Nina’s work is born out of her deep desire to help people and organizations fully realize their potential and vision. She is the Founder of Centering Families, Birth Sense and several other initiatives. She is a Certified Cooperative Childbirth Educator with a Master of Science in Education from Lehman College, City University of New York and a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard
College, Columbia University. For 20 years, Nina has served hundreds of families, communities and organizations nationally and internationally in a variety of capacities. In addition to her work as an Educator, Consultant, Coach and Mentor, Nina is also a Holistic Health Practitioner, Birth & Postpartum Doula, and Midwife Assistant. Her highly specialized and multi-sectoral expertise in human development includes: Organization & Community Development; Teaching & Learning; Adult & Child Development; Health & Wellness; and Life Stage Development. Nina has additional training in Pelvic Health, Somatic Body & Breath Work, the Paula Method, Functional Nutrition and Advanced Energy Healing & Consciousness. Nina is passionate about human development throughout all life stages particularly during the childbearing years because birth is the foundation of all other life stages – it is a primary experience that connects to all of life.
Shane is Founder & President of Frontline Health, has been a First Aid CPR AED Instructor and Instructor trainer for the last 22 years. He has personally trained nearly 200,000 people in Infant, Pediatric & Adult CPR and First Aid. Shane began his career in this field as an active duty Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor for 12 years. Shane frequently appears on Inside Edition and Local News shows as a CPR Expert. He is the father of 10-year old twin girls and lives with his family in NYC.
